Brnabic: Serbia fighting for its own interests, world and international law

BELGRADE - Commenting on a Srebrenica resolution adopted in the UN General Assembly on Thursday, Serbian Parliament Speaker Ana Brnabic said Serbia had demonstrated how it was fighting for its own interests, for the world and for international law.

Speaking to the RTS, Brnabic said the outcome of the UNGA vote reflected Serbia's diplomatic activities.

"We did not want to let our nation be stigmatised. More than two thirds of the world did not vote for the resolution," Brnabic said, noting that even countries that had abstained in the vote clearly represented a voice against the resolution.

"This is a great result of the work by the president and our diplomats. Serbia showed how it is fighting for its own interests, for the world and for the principles of international law," Brnabic said.
