PASOK Leadership Race: Signature Count Reveals the Contenders’ Strengths

The deadline for submitting the required signatures by PASOK leadership candidates is tonight at 9 PM. The Ethics Committee will review the lists and determine which candidates meet the necessary criteria.

Current PASOK president Nikos Androulakis has submitted a significant number of signatures from both party members and Central Committee members. Haris Doukas has also submitted a set of signatures from Central Committee members in his initial submission.

Associates of the Athens Mayor’s candidate report that Doukas’s submissions exceed the required threshold and that they have gathered many more signatures, which will be announced shortly.

Pavlos Geroulanos will submit a substantial number of signatures through a representative. Vasilis Vrachiotis, representing Anna Diamantopoulou, has provided a USB drive with a considerable number of signatures, instead of the handwritten ones collected.

Michalis Katrinis has submitted a large number of signatures from PASOK members and democratic citizens supporting his candidacy, significantly surpassing the requirement. Nadia Giannakopoulou has also submitted a noteworthy number of signatures from her supporters.

It remains uncertain whether Giannis Kanellakis will submit the required signatures to the Ethics Committee.
