LSE Hellenic Observatory relaunches as research center for Greece and Cyprus

The Hellenic Observatory at the London School of Economics (LSE) has been relaunched as the HO Center for Research on Contemporary Greece and Cyprus.

Under the new leadership of Professor Vassilis Monastiriotis, the center will focus on three primary research themes: gender roles in the economy and society, strategies for sustainable growth and the green transition, and citizenship and civic engagement.

The center aims to explore topics such as gender-based occupational segregation, the representation of femicides, decarbonization of energy-intensive industries and regional inequalities. It will collaborate with research institutes and public bodies in Greece and Cyprus to advance knowledge in these areas.
