The “Kasselistas” are blocking Kasselakis’ expulsion – They send emails to prevent a quorum in the Central Committee – “Provocation,” says Kasselakis
A scene of total confrontation is being set up by the Kasselakis faction ahead of the Central Committee meeting on Saturday, as members of the guiding body who belong to the “Kasselistas” are sending calls via SMS and emails to supporters of the ousted President, escalating tensions within the party. However, once their move was made public, they began referring to it as a “provocation.”
According to the SMS sent by “Kasselistas” members to their supporters, the latter are called to gather outside the hotel where the Central Committee will meet the day after tomorrow, Saturday, in Metaxourgeio. Additionally, according to reports, members of the party’s guiding body who belong to the “Kasselistas” will not collect their access cards, attempting to prevent a quorum by staying outside the meeting room where the session will take place.
If the members of the Central Committee who are aligned with Pavlos Polakis follow the same stance, then the plans of the “87” to remove Kasselakis from the list of leadership candidates will be blocked, as 148 members of the Central Committee are required for a quorum, while the faction aligned with Alexis Tsipras has 130 members.
