Salamis Shipyards completes work on patrol vessels for Hellenic Navy

Salamis Shipyards on Monday announced the successful completion, on October 10 and 11, of the work for the reactivation of the first two Island-class patrol vessels, as well as all the tests, with the two vessels now docked at the Salamis Naval Station.

The work is proceeding smoothly and on schedule, within budget, and the vessels are expected to be delivered to the Hellenic Navy by December. It is an important and demanding project that requires a combination of knowledge, as it includes repairs, reactivation and upgrades.

The Salamis Shipyards have been pioneers in similar projects in the past and, therefore, their choice for the implementation of the program by the US Coast Guard did not come as a surprise.
