Administrative inquiry ordered over bullying incident

The Ministry of Education has ordered an administrative inquiry into a latest bullying incident involving a 12-year-old boy at a high school in the Athens suburb of Nea Ionia.

The ministry announced that the inquiry was ordered to determine any responsibility on the part of the school's administration and the teachers who were allegedly present during the incident.

Additionally, the Teachers' Association will convene an extraordinary meeting to enforce appropriate disciplinary measures for the students involved in the violent behavior toward the 12-year-old boy.

These students may be transferred to different schools outside the municipality they were attending.
