Athens unveils strategy for diaspora unity

In an effort to modernize and strengthen Greece's ties with its diaspora, Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis unveiled a comprehensive plan on Wednesday aimed at enhancing services for Greeks abroad.

Presented at the Foreign Ministry, the plan outlines six ambitious goals designed to deepen Greece's engagement with its global community, while encouraging young Greeks to consider returning home.

The primary objectives include modernizing consular services through digitization, fostering new organizational structures within the diaspora, and building networks to promote Greece's image abroad.

Another major focus is preserving Greek heritage by promoting language, history, and cultural education, especially among younger generations.
