Trump’s win is ‘a wake-up call for Europe’
The businessworld, as well as key figures in the Greek economy, see Donald Trump's election to the US presidency this week as an incentive for Europe to act at a faster pace in order to regain its competitiveness.
At the same time, they do not hide their concern about possible effects from the implementation of a protectionist policy, as well as from the foreign policy that is expected to be implemented in the coming years by the American president-elect.
Even more so since the outcome of the US presidential election comes at an extremely unfavorable time for the European Union, with its two largest economies, Germany and France, facing economic uncertainty and political instability.
