US and UK bomb Houthi positions in Yemen

A series of airstrikes targeted locations in the Amran and Saada provinces of Yemen, reported the Al Masirah TV network, which is aligned with the Houthi rebel movement. The strikes were attributed to the armed forces of the US and the UK.

The US claims that the attack targeted a series of weapons storage facilities in at least three locations. These facilities are believed to house advanced conventional weapons used by the Houthis to target ships in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden.

This is the second consecutive night of US airstrikes in Yemen.

On the night from Saturday to Sunday, Houthi weapons storage depots were hit, confirmed a senior official at the US Pentagon.

Al Masirah reported three bombings in the suburbs of the capital, Sanaa.
