Gas leak kills teen in family home, sisters critical
A 16-year-old boy has died from suspected gas poisoning in his home in Magiko, Xanthi, in northern Greece, while his sisters, aged 15 and 18, remain in critical condition. The incident occurred after the family was reportedly exposed to a gas leak, possibly from a newly installed propane system or carbon monoxide.
The children were found unconscious in the basement of the house when their mother attempted to wake them. Emergency responders rushed them to the hospital, but the boy could not be revived.
Authorities are investigating the cause, with a forensic examination and toxicology tests under way.
