Fire service responds to over 3,000 calls amid Storm Bora’s devastation
The passage of Storm Bora across the islands of Rhodes and Lemnos, as well as the Central Macedonia region, was devastating, with Civil Protection forces remaining on high alert to address the damage caused by torrential rains.
According to an updated emergency bulletin from Greece's National Meteorological Service (EMY), intense weather conditions are expected to persist in certain areas until Tuesday morning.
Between Saturday morning and Monday morning, the fire service responded to a total of 3,024 calls related to the severe weather, with the majority of requests for assistance coming from Central Macedonia and Rhodes.
