Suspended officer wanted for assaulting, robbing ex-partner

Police authorities are searching for a suspended fellow officer accused of domestic violence and theft by a former partner in the Athens port district Piraeus on Saturday night, state broadcaster ERT has reported.  

The perpetrator, stationed in Athens until his suspension, reportedly visited the home of his estranged partner in Piraeus' Kaminia district, snatching a wooden vase that contained her mobile phone, wallet with bank cards, ID, and other personal belongings. 

The woman told police that an argument broke out between her and her ex-partner when she discovered he had taken her belongings. During the confrontation, she alleged that he struck her but managed to lock him outside and called emergency police. However, he fled before officers arrived at the scene.

The following day, the woman's belongings were returned by the man's father, but the perpetrator...
