Short-term rental framework

The draft law of the Tourism Ministry, which establishes a new framework for the operation of the short-term rental market and regulates many other issues in the tourism sector, has been put up for consultation.

The draft law creates a framework for the operation of properties rented short-term with hygiene and safety standards. This framework, among other things, enables the monitoring of the tourism product by the ministry's services, in cooperation with the Independent Authority for Public Revenue (AADE). 

Properties must be insured against civil liability for damage or accidents, and they must be in areas of primary use and have natural light, ventilation and air conditioning.
