AHI marks 50th anniversary at Athens awards dinner
The American Hellenic Institute (AHI) marked its 50th anniversary and the 50th year since Turkey's invasion of Cyprus at its 20th Annual Athens Awards Dinner on Tuesday at the Grande Bretagne Hotel in Syntagma Square.
Honorees included US Ambassador to Greece George Tsunis and philanthropists Athanasios and Marina Martinos. Representing Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, Deputy Foreign Minister Giorgos Kotsiras praised AHI's "important and systematic work" on Greek issues, adding, "We are grateful for your multifaceted philanthropic efforts."
AHI President Nicholas Larigakis highlighted the honorees' dedication to Hellenic values, saying, "It has been my privilege to honor outstanding members of the Greek-American community whose professional excellence and unswerving devotion to others bring great credit to their heritage."
