Contributions to rise by 2.7%

Social security contributions for more than 800,000 non-salaried workers, freelancers, self-employed professionals and farmers are expected to increase by 2.7% from January of the new year, following the average annual inflation of 2024.

The long-awaited wage development index, which should be implemented from the beginning of 2025, has not yet been delivered to the Ministry of Labor by the competent committee established for the matter. If this does not happen in the next few days, which is considered very likely, the contributions of the unemployed will be adjusted for another year based on the average annual inflation. Based on estimates, it will be around 2.7%.
