‘No Helmet, No Gasoline’ road safety campaign targets motorcyclists
The Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Development, and the country's Gasoline Stations Federation have joined forces to launch a road safety campaign titled "No Helmet, No Gasoline".
Over the next few days, the gasoline stations federation is expected to inform dozens of affiliated industry associations throughout the country to urge service station owners and their staff not to serve motorcyclists who turn up without wearing helmets.
In the lead-up, Minister of Health Adonis Georgiadis reportedly reached an agreement on the campaign at a meeting with members of the gasoline stations federation.
Despite various safety measures, numerous motorcyclists in Greece continue to be seen riding without helmets, often with helmetless passengers.
