Air France Cancels Sofia-Paris Flights on Monday

There will be no Air France flights from Sofia to Paris on Monday, Sofia Airport has said.

The two flights that were due to be performed in the afternoon have been cancelled due to an ongoing strike at France's national carrier that began last week.

The cabin crew's strike action is expected to go on at least until Wednesday.

Council of Europe head to visit Turkey

The chief of the Council of Europe arrive in Turkey on Aug. 3 for meetings with officials and opposition leaders, the council said on July 31.      

Secretary General Thorbjorn Jagland's comes after Turkey suspended the European Convention on Human Rights, which is reinforced by the council's European Court of Human Rights, following the July 15 coup attempt.       

Greek refugee hotspots nearing full capacity

Refugee and migrant hotspots are rapidly reaching their full capacity, according to Greek authorities. The official data show that the organised reception centres throughout Greece can hold up to 60,223 people, with the current refugees hosted estimated at a total of 57,115.

Vandals target Athens offices of SYRIZA, ANEL

The offices of leftist SYRIZA in the Athens neighborhoods of Exarchia, Kallithea and Kypseli were attacked by vandals in the early hours of Monday morning as was the headquarters of Independent Greeks (ANEL), SYRIZA's coalition partner, on Syngrou Avenue.

The unidentified vandals smashed the glass facades of the offices and defaced them with paint.

Incident at opening of memorial room dedicated to Djindjic

About 20 Croat returnees have prevented the opening of a memorial room dedicated to Zoran Djindjic, in the House of Peace in Tisina, near Samac, in Bosnia.

This has been reported by the public broadcaster of the Serb entity in Bosnia-Herzegovina, RTRS.
