Security officer accused of leaking information to criminal gang about Geert Wilders

A police officer was arrested on Monday on suspicion of leaking investigation information to a Moroccan-Dutch criminal organization, NRC reports. According to the newspaper, the officer in question is of Moroccan descent and works at the so-called Safety and Security Department, tasked with providing security to the royal family and threatened politicians like Geert Wilders, among others.

Tsakalotos tells Parliament he hopes for a deal by March 20

In a speech to Parliament's economic affairs committee on Tuesday, Finance Minister Tsakalotos said Greece is hoping for a provisional agreement with the country's international creditors by March 20.

Turkey will be part of Raqqa operation if allies are sincere: Erdoğan

Ankara wants to work with its allies to capture the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) bastion of Raqqa in Syria, Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said Feb. 28.

However, Erdoğan once again rejected any involvement by the Syrian Kurdish Democratic Union Party (PYD), and its armed wing, the Peoples' Protection Units (YPG), which Turkey considers as terrorist groups.

Portuguese singer to take stage in Ankara

Portuguese singer Teresa Salgueiro will be on stage for the first time in Ankara. 

Best known as the lead singer of Madredeus from 1987 until 2007, Salgueiro also participated as lead actress in a feature film by Wim Wenders, "Lisbon Story."
