ATHEX: Greek stocks climb out of red at end of session
The closing auctions buoyed the Greek bourse benchmark out of the red on Thursday, with turnover reaching heights unseen since late September, at 92 million euros.
The Athens Exchange (ATHEX) general index ended at 740.20 points, adding 0.26 percent to Wednesday's 738.31 points.
On a monthly basis it lost 2.52 percent.
Bombs go off in Thessaloniki and Corinth
The entrance to an apartment building in the Kalamaria district of Thessaloniki, northern Greece, was damaged when a makeshift explosive device was detonated by unknown assailants on Thursday.
According to reports, the blast on Konitsis Street occurred in the early morning hours.
Police said the explosion didn't cause a fire but shattered windows and damaged walls.
Athens drug gang netted by police
Police said on Thursday they had unraveled a criminal gang that sold drugs in central Athens and western Attica and arrested four people.
In sweeps at Karaiskaki Square, Aghios Panteleimonas, Pangrati and Kypseli, police nabbed two Albanian nationals, 43 and 49, and two Greeks, both aged 57.
Reports said the 49-year-old Albanian suspect was the ringleader.
Brnabic, Szydlo discuss cooperation, Polish investments
BUDAPEST - Serbian PM Ana Brnabic met with Polish counterpart Beata Szydlo at the summit of China and Central and Eastern European states in Budapest on Monday.
Brnabic and Szydlo said political relations between the two countries were good and without open issues and that economic cooperation needed to be improved further.
Cyprus to help Lebanon build Mediterranean Sea rescue center
Cyprus's Defense Ministry says the island nation will help Lebanon build a search-and-rescue center for responding to emergencies off its Mediterranean Sea coastline.
A Defense Ministry statement says Cypriot officials will provide Lebanese authorities with training, technical know-how and financial assistance for the center.
Germany's Merkel tells Erdoğan she will speed up EU aid to Turkey: Sources
German Chancellor Angela Merkel told President Tayyip Erdoğan on Nov. 30 that she would work to speed up the transfer of financial assistance promised by the European Union to Turkey as part of a migrant deal, Turkish presidential sources said.
