Russia to hold major naval drills in Mediterranean, TASS agency reports

Russia's Ministry of Defense said on Thursday it would hold naval exercises in the Mediterranean Sea from Sept. 1 to Sept. 8 and that 25 vessels and 30 planes would take part, the TASS news agency reported.

The ministry said the drills would involve carrying out anti-aircraft, anti-submarine and anti-mining exercises.

Thaci might be banned from talking about Kosovo territory

As RTK2 channel reports, the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo is expected to adopt a resolution that would ban Kosovo President Hashim Thaci from further negotiating with Belgrade about the territory of Kosovo.

The session will be held only three days before the announced Kosovo dialogue meeting in Brussels.

Serbian City Authorities Accused of Distorting WWII History

The local assembly in Serbia’s second city, Novi Sad, has been accused of distorting history for voting to erect a monument to the alleged victims of crimes by Yugoslav Communist Partisan forces.
