590 kilos of marijuana seized on eastern border

316 kilograms were found in 292 packages in a Croatian license plates truck driven by a citizen of Bosnia-Herzegovina, while another truck, with Serbian license plates, carried another 274 kilograms in 253 packages.

The Interior Ministry said that the suspects will be brought before a prosecutor, charged with illegal manufacturing and trafficking of narcotics.

President visits fire-stricken town in east Attica

Greek President Prokopis Pavlopoulos visited the fire-stricken east coast of Attica on Wednesday to inspect the damage caused by last week's deadly blaze and efforts to help those affected.

At least 91 people were killed and scores were injured in Mati, a holiday spot 17 miles east of Athens, when flames fanned by gale-force winds burned down the town.

The biggest item of spending in the "shopping basket" of Bulgarians for 2017 was food according data from an analysis of Eurostat financial characteristics of household consumption in the EU.

In this indicator, our country is in the company of Romania, Latvia and Estonia, where "food" is the most important indicator in household consumption expenditure.

More than 3,100 illegal buildings slated for demolition, after deadly blaze
