Bulgaria to Take Stake in Greek LNG Terminal by the End of the Year

Bulgaria plans to become a shareholder in a liquefied natural gas terminal off the coast of northern Greece by the end of the year as the Balkan country tries to diversify its energy supplies, Energy Minister Temenuzhka Petkova said on Wednesday, reports Reuters. 

Bulgaria's Arms Exports up 20 Percent to €1.2 Billion in 2017

Bulgaria's booming arms trade continued to grow in 2017 with arms and ammunitions exports topping €1.2 billion ($1.4 billion), an official report showed on Wednesday, October 31, reports The Defense Post. 

Conflicts in the Middle East have boosted Bulgaria's arms sales in recent years to levels not seen since the fall of communism in 1989.

A new military representation will be open in Iran, which practically means that our army will the largest number of such offices abroad since the times of the SFR Yugoslavia ("former Yugoslavia").

Mid-season sales start Thursday, some stores open Sunday

The mid-season autumn sales begun on Thursday and will end on November 10, according to the country's retail associations.

Shops may also optionally open on Sunday, November 4, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

During the sales, shops must display both the new price and the old price of items, as well as advertising and displaying the percentage discount given on items. 

Bulgarian Newspapers 'Losing Trust, Money and Readers'

A new study carried out for the Bulgarian branch of the Association of European Journalists has shed light on the dire state of Bulgarian print media market.

The study shows a low level of trust in print media, mainly because of the negativity of most news headlines, plus the predominance of what it calls "incorrect, aggressive, non-objective media content".
