Greece is feeling the full force of the cold weather front called "Rafael" descending from northern Europe with freezing temperatures, local storms, cold winds and heavy rains expected to cover the entire country, Protothemareported.

Number of Trips to Bulgaria's Mountains Rise Significantly

The number of trips to Bulgaria's mountains rose significantly, analysis of Eurostat about the development of tourism in 2017 show, reported the Bulgarian National Radio. 

Last year nearly 4.7 million personal trips to Bulgarian mountain resorts were made as compared to 2.9 million trips made in the previous year (2016), Eurostat data further shows.

Cyprus average salary at 1,827 euros

The average gross monthly earnings of employees in Cyprus stood at 1,827 euros in the third quarter of 2018 compared to 1,772 euros during the third quarter of 2017, an increase of 3.1 percent, according to provisional data published by the Statistical Service on Monday.

Mitsotakis to visit Bavaria for CSU session

Pressure to ratify Prespes deal

The contentious name deal between Greece and the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia (FYROM) is expected to be ratified in FYROM's Parliament earlier than expected, possibly by January 10, meaning that the so-called Prespes agreement will come to Greece's House early too, likely triggering political developments.
