August retail sales rise 0.8 pct, led by home appliances, supermarkets

Greek retail sales by volume rose 0.8 percent in August compared to the same month last year after a downwardly revised 2.2 prcent decline in July, statistics service ELSTAT said on Thursday.
Retail sales were led higher by supermarkets, home appliances, books and stationery, the data showed.

Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg has refused to accept an environmental award.

The girl said that the climate movement needed no rewards, and that people in power need to begin to "listen to science not awards" Her representative also confirmed that Thunberg would not accept the 46,800 euro prize.

"The climate movement does not need any more awards," she wrote.

Former free-style wrestler Dwayne Johnson-The Rock, who requalified as an actor, is following in the footsteps of colleagues George Clooney and Ryan Reynolds and singer Nick Jonas, launching his own brand of tequila, ContactMusic reported.
Johnson, 47, personally announced this on Instagram. Its own Teramana Tequila brand will be launched in the first quarter of 2020.
