A Monument of Pencho Slaveikov Was Opened in Milan
A monument-bench of Pencho Slaveikov was opened in Milan, BNR reported.
The Bulgarian Ambassador to Rome Todor Stoyanov and the Bulgarian Consul General in Milan Tanya Dimitrova opened the monument.
The event was attended by representatives of the municipalities of Milan and Sofia, former Italian ministers and cultural representatives.
New Gender Neutral Emojis Were Included in the Latest iOS Update
Apple has released new gender neutral emoticons - an analogue of most current emoticons. There are punks, clowns and zombies among them. This is part of the company's mobile operating system update, AFP reported. The tech giant has been offering an increasing number of inclusive emoji designs in recent years, presenting them with different skin colours or professions.
Minister Goranov Expects an Invitation for Bulgaria to Join the Waiting Room for the Euro Area by April 30
Finance Minister Vladislav Goranov has announced that Bulgaria may receive an invitation to the Euro Area waiting room by the end of April next year. He made this prediction to reporters at the Council of Ministers after a meeting of the National Council for Tripartite Cooperation, which discussed Budget 2020.
Teen stabbed by fellow student in western Greek town
A 15-year-old student was stabbed by a teenager in a high school in the town of Amaliada, western Greece, on Thursday morning.
The suspect attacked his fellow student with a sharp instrument causing injuries to his shoulder and elbow.
The victim was transferred to the local hospital and the school alerted police.
Two workers killed at a construction site in Cortanovci
According to Belgrade media, the first results of the investigation show that the incident occurred when, for unknown reasons, a basket carrying two workers overturned from about 20 meters in height and fell straight to the ground.
The medical team could only confirm the death.
Two Killed and 175 Injured in Protests in Baghdad
At least two people were killed and 175 were wounded in Baghdad after Iraqi security forces used tear gas against protesters which were trying to enter the fenced in Green Zone, Reuters quoted security forces and medical personnel sources.
Both deaths were caused by a tear gas metal box that hit the victims' heads directly, BTA reported.
