EU Commission keeps Slovenia forecast at -7% for this year

In the report, the Commission says that the "Covid-19 pandemic put an end to several years of healthy growth in Slovenia. As in other countries, the economy has been strongly affected by containment measures and the collapse in international trade."

Slovenia to host European Ladies Amateur Golf Championship

The events, which had been originally planned to take place in Finland, has been awarded to Slovenia as a Covid-19 safe country.

The Cubo course, located below the popular Šmarna Gora hill and east of Zbilje Lake, already hosted the same event in 2012, featuring 144 women golf players from 25 countries.

As a result, a 14-day quarantine will be ordered for entry to Slovenia from countries on the yellow list, including Croatia, where many Slovenians spend their holidays.

However, Slovenian citizens and foreigners with permanent or temporary residence in Slovenia arriving from yellow-listed EU or Schengen zone members will not be quarantined.

Slovenia keeps Croatia on list of Covid-19 safe countries

Jelko Kacin, the government spokesman, told reporters on Tuesday that even though the number of infections per 100,000 residents in Croatia has exceeded ten a day over the past fortnight, which merits the removal from the list, Slovenia believes Croatia will succeed in slowing down and eventually stopping the spread of infections in the coming days.
