4.2 magnitude quake hits Turkey's Mediterranean region

A magnitude 4.2 earthquake jolted Turkey's Mediterranean coastal area, according to the nation's disaster agency on Aug. 1. 

The Disaster and Emergency Management Authority said the tremors occurred off Turkey's southern Mediterranean region at 6.43 a.m. local time (0443GMT).

The quake's epicenter was roughly 35 kilometers (21 miles) underground.

Turkish, Azerbaijani soldiers mark Eid al-Adha

Turkish and Azerbaijani soldiers participating in joint military exercises marked Eid al-Adha on July 31 with an event, Turkey's National Defense Ministry said.
Eid messages of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Defense Minister Zakir Hasanov were read at the event.

270 are the new cases of coronavirus infection in Bulgaria in 5 582 PCR tests performed in the last 24 hours. This is shown by the data of the Unified Information Portal. Thus, the total number of confirmed cases since the beginning of the pandemic is 11,690.

146 were newly treated, 9 people died.

778 are infected in hospitals, 42 of them in intensive care units.

Zincirli Bazaar, a historical shopping mall in Gaziantep

Zincirli Bedesten (bazaar), which was the center of commercial life in the southeastern province of Gaziantep in the past, attracts great attention today. There are 73 shops in Zincirli Bedesten, which was built in an L shape in 1718 by Darendeli Hüseyin Pasha.
