Top court stays PC rule for civil servants

Ljubljana – The Constitutional Court has stayed the government’s regulation under which state administration employees would have to be either Covid-19 reconvalescent or vaccinated (PC) to come to work starting from Friday. The minister in charge has announced the new rule will thus not come into effect as planned tomorrow.

Janša meets Johnson in London to talk bilateral ties

London – Prime Minister Janez Janša paid a working visit to the United Kingdom on Thursday for talks his British counterpart Boris Johnson. Bilateral political ties, fighting the Covid-19 pandemic and the EU-UK relations topped the agenda, the prime minister’s office said.

Ljubljana – The ruling Democratic Party (SDS) has responded to the resignation of the STA director Bojan Veselinovič with the party’s MP Mojca Škrinjar expressing the hope “this act will end the STA saga”.

Pahor wants govt to find swift solution for STA financing

Maribor – After Bojan Veselinovič resigned as the director of the STA on Thursday over the continued impasse on a public service agreement talks with the Government Communication Office (UKOM), President Borut Pahor said that he would like to see the government find a solution for financing of the STA as soon as possible.

Terme Čatež bounces back to EUR 3.7m net profit in H1

Čatež ob Savi – The group around the spa operator Terme Čatež recorded EUR 5.1 million in revenue in the first half of the year, down 9% year-on-year, while posting EUR 3.7 million in net profit, bouncing back from a EUR 3.9 million net loss. The improvement is primarily a result of the sale of the operator of Marina Portorož.
