Algeria say ready to supply EU with extra gas amid Ukraine crisis

Algeria's state energy firm is ready to supply Europe with more gas in view of a possible decline due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine, its CEO said on Feb. 27.

Sonatrach CEO Toufik Hakkar said the firm was ready to pump additional gas to the EU from its surplus via the Transmed pipeline linking Algeria to Italy.

BP, Equinor exiting stakes in Rosneft

British energy giant BP announced on Feb. 27 that it was pulling its 19.75-percent stake in Rosneft following Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

London-based BP has held a 19.75 percent stake in Rosneft since 2013. That stake was valued at $14 billion at the time of the announcement.

In an upset, the deaf family drama "CODA" took top honors at an unpredictable and history-making 28th Screen Actors Guild Awards that also saw wins for the leads of "Squid Game," the cast of "Ted Lasso" and Will Smith.

The Sony Pictures videogame adaptation "Uncharted," starring Holland and Mark Wahlberg, led ticket sales for its second weekend of release with $23.3 million, according to studio estimates.
