Türkiye criticizes extension of peacekeeping force mandate in Cyprus
The Turkish Foreign Ministry has criticized a decision of the United Nation's Security Council of extending the mandate of the global body's peacekeeping force in Cyprus (UNFICYP) for one year rather than six months as it extends every year, saying that it disregards Turkish Cyprus' will and insists on models that have already been tried and failed.
Bulgaria’s National Bank Withdraws Old Banknotes with Denomination of BGN 20 from Circulation – Check Where You can Change yours!
The 20 BGN banknotes from 2005 will be removed from circulation from February 1 and will no longer be legal tender. After this date, banknotes with a nominal value of BGN 20, 2005 issue, will be exchanged at the cash desks of the Bulgarian National Bank (BNB) at nominal value without limit of quantity, without fee and without deadline for exchange.
Bulgaria is again at the Bottom of the EU in Transparency International's 2022 Corruption Index
Bulgaria is once again at the bottom of the European Union in the 2022 Corruption Index of the international anti-corruption organization Transparency International.
Our country is placed in 72nd place with an index of 43 points. In the last place among the countries of the European Union is Hungary with an index of 42 points.
Serbian gov't tables report on Kosovo-Metohija talks to MPs
BELGRADE - The Serbian government has tabled to MPs a Report on the Talks Process with Institutions of the Interim Self-Government Authorities in Pristina from September 1, 2022 to January 15, 2023, the Serbian parliament said on its official website.
As announced earlier, MPs will debate the report from February 2.
The trial of Mika Aleksić continues
Aleksi was accused of multiple rapes and sexual harassment of female students at his school.
It is expected that at today's hearing, the questioning of one of the injured parties, which began at the previous hearing, will be continued. Aleksi was met in front of the Palace building, as in the previous hearings, by activists with a banner reading "We believe in Milena Radulovi".
