Begovic: Serbian startups visible on Dealroom platform
BELGRADE - Serbian Minister of Science, Technological Development and Innovation Jelena Begovic said on Tuesday it was very important that the Digital Serbia initiative had made Serbian startups visible on the international Dealroom platform, with around 250 Serbian startups registered there to date.
Brnabic: Foreigners act to be amended in March
BELGRADE - Serbian PM Ana Brnabic said on Tuesday she expected amendments to the Foreigners Act to enter parliamentary procedure in March.
Speaking to reporters at a ceremony at the Aviation Academy, Brnabic said the amended act would unify working and residence permits in a simplified, fully electronic procedure.
That will enable easier and quicker employment, she added.
UAE's Sheikh bin Zayed al Nahyan visits Serbia booth at IDEX 2023
ABU DHABI - UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed al Nahyan visited the Serbia booth at the IDEX 2023 arms fair in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday.
He was cordially welcomed by Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, who gave him a presentation of exhibits.
The booth features several Serbian defence industry companies, including heavyweight Yugoimport-SDPR.
Vucic meets with Sheikh bin Zayed in Abu Dhabi
ABU DHABI - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic met with UAE President Sheikh Muhamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan on Monday as part of a working visit to Abu Dhabi.
They discussed numerous topics related to advancement of Serbia-UAE ties.
The two leaders have met over 20 times since 2012 and their most recent meeting took place in Belgrade last October.
Gasic, Johansson discuss illegal migration
BRUSSELS - Serbian Interior Minister Bratislav Gasic met on Monday in Brussels with EU Commissioner for Home Affairs Ylva Johansson to discuss implementation of an EU action plan for the Western Balkans aimed at solving joint challenges in the field of irregular migration, strengthening of border management and advancement of cooperation in readmission.
