Home textile exports hit $5 billion
The Turkish home textile industry's export revenues stood at $5 billion last year, according to Hasan Hüseyin Bayram, head of the Home Textile Association (TETSİAD).
Local and international home textile companies met at the HOMETEX fair, which is being held between May 16 and 20.
This fair is expected to boost exports by 20 to 25 percent, said Bayram.

Country records high turnout in presidential, parliamentary elections
Türkiye's historic presidential and parliamentary elections on May 14 witnessed a high voter turnout at 86.2 percent.
The figure was barely below the 88.2 percent turnout in 2018 when Turkish voters headed to ballot boxes to elect the president and members of the parliament.

Türkiye working to diversify renewable energy resources
The Agriculture and Forestry Ministry is working on projects aimed at utilizing geothermal energy resources, particularly in urban agriculture, while officials are looking into ways to boost biomass production in rural areas.
