The Fire Department has made an arrest and imposed administrative fines for fires in Chania, Corfu, Ilia, Ioannina, Thessaloniki and Evia.

Man who shot neighbour over property dispute appears before prosecutor
An 83-year-old man arrested on Tuesday in southern Greece for the shooting of a neighbour over a long-running property dispute was led before a prosecutor on Thursday for questioning.
Teen stabbed by fellow student in western Greek town
A 15-year-old student was stabbed by a teenager in a high school in the town of Amaliada, western Greece, on Thursday morning.
The suspect attacked his fellow student with a sharp instrument causing injuries to his shoulder and elbow.
The victim was transferred to the local hospital and the school alerted police.
Korivos loses to relegated Trikala and goes down
Panionios needed a miracle to remain in the Basket League, and that is exactly what happened in the last round of the regular season on Sunday: Korivos Amaliadas lost at home to already relegated Trikala and followed it on the way down to the A2 division. Also on Sunday Kolossos earned the last ticket to the play-offs and Panathinaikos finished the entire regular season unbeaten.

Greek police bust large drug network
Greek police have dismantled an 11-member drug trafficking ring in the prefect of Ilia in the Peloponnese. The gang had set up a delivery network transporting large amounts of narcotics, including cocaine and marijuana over the past six months in Amaliada and Athens. The suspects included 10 Albanian nationals aged between 22 and 40 and a 30-year-old Greek.
