Ukraine's Zelensky in surprise visit to Netherlands: media
Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky arrived at Amsterdam's airport late Wednesday for an unannounced visit to the Netherlands, with a trip to the International Criminal Court on his agenda, local media reported.
Dutch news agency ANP said Zelensky, making his first visit to the Netherlands, landed at Schiphol airport after attending a Nordic summit in Helsinki.
Istanbul Europe’s busiest airport in March
Türkiye's mega airport Istanbul was the busiest one in Europe, with an average of 1,263 daily flights in March, according to EUROCONTROL.
Sabiha Gökçen, also in Istanbul, ranked 17th on the list with an average of 549 daily flights.
Istanbul Airport was followed by Heathrow with 1,190 flights and Charles de Gaulle in Paris with 1,135 flights.

Rembrandt’s prints on show at National Gallery
Original prints by the celebrated Dutch painter Rembrandt have been put on display at the National Gallery in Ljubljana, alongside works by artists he inspired. Mounted in cooperation with the Rembrandt House Museum in Amsterdam, the exhibition runs until 30 July.

Telemach mobile towers sold to Saudi company
United Group, the Amsterdam-based media and telecommunications corporation, has sold its mobile towers infrastructure in Slovenia, Bulgaria and Croatia to the Saudi company Tawal. While the value of the transaction has not been disclosed, United Group values the infrastructure at €1.22 billion.

Amsterdam airport to ban private jets, night flights
Amsterdam's Schiphol Airport has said that it would stop night flights and bar private jets in a bid to cut greenhouse gas emissions and noise pollution.
Aircraft will be banned from taking off between midnight and 6 a.m. and will not be allowed to land before 5 a.m., Royal Schiphol Group chief executive Ruud Sondag said in a statement.
One dead, dozens injured in Dutch rail accident
At least one person died and 30 were injured early Tuesday when a high-speed passenger train slammed into heavy construction equipment and derailed near The Hague, Dutch emergency services said.
The accident took place around 3:30 am (0130 GMT) close to the village of Voorschoten, about eight kilometres (five miles) north of The Hague.

Meatball from mammoth unveiled by food tech firm
Food scientists on March 28 unveiled a giant meatball made from lab-grown flesh of an extinct woolly mammoth, saying the protein from the past showed the way for future foods.
The glistening meatball was displayed under a glass bell jar by Australian-based cultivated meat firm Vow at the NEMO science museum in the Dutch capital Amsterdam.

Amsterdam launched a campaign on March 28 to discourage tourists planning drug- and alcohol-fueled parties, starting with young British men.
The Dutch capital has long been trying to curb rowdy behaviour such as stag parties, especially near the famed red light area where sex workers operate.
