Greece's Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras is expected to meet German and French leaders in Riga this week to try to win consent for a joint statement that could give him more leeway in talks with international lenders and give a breath of air to his cash-strapepd government.
Schaeuble states Greek optimism on solution is unjustified
Athens’ optimism on negotiations is not justified, according to German FinMin Wolfgang Schaeuble.
As he stated, he does not exclude the possibility of bankruptcy (insolvency) for Greece, while information from the Institutions do not go hand in hand with the optimism expressed by the Greek government.
Boy, 3, dies after falling down light well
A three-year-old boy from Georgia died on Thursday after falling down a light well from a fifth floor apartment in the area of Kallithea, southern Athens.
A police investigation was underway to determine the cause of the fatal accident.

Insurance agency targeted in Maroussi
Police on Thursday were investigating an explosion outside an insurance agency located at the Aithrio shopping center in Maroussi, northern Athens.
One person was slightly injured in the incident which reportedly occurred late on Wednesday.
Initial reports suggested the attack was carried out by a device made of cooking gas canisters.
