Historic Turkish bath listed on sale for $2 mln

An abandoned historic Ottoman-era Turkish bath in Istanbul's Fatih district has been put up for sale for $2 million.

The Ayakapı Bath, built in 1582 by renowned Ottoman architect Mimar Sinan, is in danger of collapsing due to neglect.

The bath, which has a unique view of the Golden Horn, has been abandoned to its fate after being turned into private property in 1957.

Bird Buddy crowdfunds two new products

A Slovenian start-up that has found success with a peculiar bird feeder has raised almost three million euros in a second Kickstarter for two new products.

In a campaign that wrapped up on 15 June, Bird Buddy convinced more than 10,000 supporters to finance an AI-powered Smart Hummingbird Feeder and a Smart Bird Bath.

Historical hammam hosts contemporary artworks

Muse Contemporary, an art foundation hosting exhibitions in different venues around Turkey, is showcasing South African artist Michael Singer's sculpture and installation Bennu Statis at the Küçük Mustafa Paşa Hammam/Turkish Bath. The exhibition is organized with the Culture and Tourism Ministry, South Africa's Ankara Embassy and the Fatih Municipality.

Historic Turkish bath in Istanbul put up for sale

A historic Turkish bath built in Istanbul in 1562 during the reign of the Ottoman Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent has been put up for sale for 29 million Turkish Liras ($3.45 million).

The Horhor Bath, which was built by Behruz Ağa, the sultan's private chambermaid, was put up for sale by the shareholder family.
