The killing of two Hezbollah commanders by Air Force aircraft strikes in southern Lebanon, the Israeli military announced Thursday morning.

Over 2,000 Turkish citizens and some foreign started boarding a Turkish military ship late Wednesday that brought in aid and will take them out of a country being hit by Israeli airstrikes targeting Hezbollah.

At least 16 Palestinian civilians, including women and children, were killed and many others injured in an Israeli airstrike on a hospital courtyard in Jabalia, northern Gaza, on Wednesday. The Yemen Al-Saeed hospital, where displaced families had taken refuge, was the target of the strike. Casualties were rushed to the Kamal Adwan Hospital in Beit Lahia for treatment following the attack.

The United States urged its ally Israel to avoid Gaza-like military action in Lebanon, after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said it could face "destruction" like the Palestinian territory.

Türkiye on Wednesday sent ships to evacuate around 2,000 of its citizens from Lebanon, with its Beirut envoy saying it would be "the biggest" evacuation of its type from the war-torn country.

Hezbollah has softened its stance on linking a ceasefire in Lebanon with a truce in Gaza, as Israeli ground operations continue along the Lebanese-Israeli border, coupled with airstrikes in Beirut and surrounding regions. Hezbollah Deputy Secretary-General Naim Qassem stated that they support efforts led by Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri aimed at securing a ceasefire in Lebanon.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned Lebanon Tuesday it could face destruction "like Gaza" as Israel ramps up its ground offensive against Hezbollah along the southern section of the Lebanese coast.

Netanyahu's stark warning came as the Israeli military deployed more troops and urged civilians in coastal areas to evacuate.
