Vulin: Labour law amendments will make employment easier
BELGRADE - Serbia's Labour Minister Aleksandar Vulin has said the amendments to the labour law will make it easier to hire new people, and not lay off the existing employees.
"This is a reform law that has to be adopted, and it will be impossible to put our economy back on its feet without it.
Dragan Djuric arrested
BELGRADE - Zekstra owner and executive board chairman of the Veterinary Institute Dragan Djuric, owner/director of Akter DOO Tihomir Trisic and owner of Stasa DOO Milan Divljak were arrested on Friday on suspicion of irregularities in fertilizer trading, which resulted in a EUR 7.5 million loss for the Pancevo-based mineral fertilizer plant Azotara, Tanjug reports.

Kolarac Celebrates Art Gallery’s 50th Birthday
The celebration began on July 10 with a performance by the Mystic Cello group, and will continue on July 11 and 12.
The Sensartika Quartet will perform on July 11 at the Endowment at 7pm, and on July 12 the Rocher Quartet will perform at the same time. There will be no admission fee for either concert and all are welcome to join the celebration.

Dacic attends Croatia Forum in Dubrovnik
BELGRADE - Serbian First Deputy prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic is participating in the 9th Croatia Forum 2014 which began in Dubrovnik on Thursday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs released.
The topic of this year's Forum is 'European Integration of the Western Balkans: State of Play.'

Trade unions walk out of talks on amendments to Labor Law
BELGRADE - Representatives of trade unions walked out of a meeting of the working group tasked with drafting amendments to the Labor Law on Thursday, and signaled that they will on Friday decide whether they will leave the talks completely and organize protests.

Over EUR 2 mn raised for flood relief through gov't accounts
BELGRADE - A total of over EUR 2 million have so far been raised for flood victims through the designated account of the Serbian government, around EUR 700,000 via PayPal, while the total humanitarian aid that arrived in the country due to the May floods has been estimated at EUR 19.5 million, General Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Veljko Odalovic said on Thursday.
