BELGRADE - Zagreb will not hinder Serbia along the path toward the EU, Croatian President Ivo Josipovic has said before a meeting of South-East Europe (SEE) leaders in Dubrovnik on July 15.
Dacic attends UN Economic and Social Council
BELGRADE - Serbia's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic will attend a two-day meeting of the UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) in New York starting on Monday and inform the members of the council about the extent of the damage caused by the May floods in Serbia and also invite them to take part in the donor conference in Brussels on July 16.

Blast furnace at Zelezara Smederevo relit
SMEDEREVO - Blast furnace no. 2 at the Smederevo-based steel plant Zelezara Smederevo was ignited on Monday, restoring the production after two months.
The first tons of liquid iron will be transported to the steel mill in the next two to three days, while other sections of the plant will be put into operation successively.

BELGRADE -- Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vučić has said that Belgrade is "committed to normalizing relations with Priština."
He added that "recognizing the independence of Kosovo," proclaimed unilaterally by ethnic Albanians, "has never been a topic of negotiations between Belgrade and Priština in Brussels."

Actor Bora Todorovic passes away
BELGRADE - Famous Serbian actor Bora Todorovic died at the Clinical Centre of Serbia in Belgrade on Monday, the hospital told Tanjug.
The Belgrade media reported earlier that Todorovic had undergone an appendectomy, but his condition deteriorated afterwards and he slipped into a coma.

KOSOVSKA MITROVICA - Head of the Serbian government office for Kosovo Marko Djuric has said there can be no true normalisation of the relations between Belgrade and Pristina while Serbia's property is being stolen in Kosovo.
