Strasser commends Serbian government
BERLIN- German Commissioner for Human Rights Christoph Strasser said on Sunday the Belgrade Pride Parade was an important signal in Serbia's accession talks with the EU, and that it meant the government was fulfilling its task of securing the freedoms of opinion and assembly for the people and protecting them from violent groups.

McAllister to become new EP rapporteur for Serbia
BRUSSELS - David McAllister of the European People's Party (EPP) is set to become the new European Parliament (EP) rapporteur for Serbia, Tanjug has learned at the MEP's office.
McAllister's appointment has been made at a closed-door EPP meeting, but it is yet to be officially confirmed by the EP's Committee on Foreign Affairs.

Hungary Suspends Gas Supplies to Ukraine 'Indefinitely'
Hungary's gas operator FGSZ suspended natural gas supplies to Ukraine for an indefinite period of time, Thursday.
Ukraine has been receiving gas from Hungary, Poland and Slovakia since Russia cut off supplies to Ukraine in June in a dispute over unpaid bills.
Ukraine's state-owned gas firm, Naftogaz, called the move "unexpected and unexplained", the BBC reports.
EU, Russia, Ukraine to Discuss Gas Supplies to Europe
Russia and Ukraine are holding EU-brokered gas consultations in Berlin on Friday.
The meeting between the Russian and Ukrainian energy ministers Alexander Novak and Yuri Prodan and EU's outgoing energy commissioner Guenther Oettinger comes more than three months after Moscow cut off gas supplies to Kiev.
