US gives visa date in 2023, Turkish athletes not attending games
Turkish national karate team will not be participating in the World Games held in Birmingham, Alabama, between July 8 and 10, as the U.S. consulate in Istanbul has given July 2023 to apply for visas, the karate federation has announced.
Bromell, Thompson-Herah bag 100m wins in Eugene
Trayvon Bromell and Elaine Thompson-Herah grabbed 100m Diamond League victories on May 28 in Eugene, where eight world-leading performances highlighted the action at Hayward Field.
America's Bromell, the fastest man in the world last year, bounced back from a false start disqualification in Birmingham last weekend to win a star-studded men's 100m in 9.93 seconds.

Airlines: Potential come back for Athens airport
Eight new destinations and six new airlines are on the air map of Athens. The city is restarting, after two very difficult seasons, as the pandemic "hit" the city break destinations particularly. Moody Blues drummer dies at 80
Graeme Edge, a drummer and co-founder of The Moody Blues, has died. He was 80.
The band's frontman, Justin Hayward, confirmed Edge's death on the group's website. The cause of his death has not been revealed.
Hayward called Edge the backbone of the British rock band, which was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2018. The band's last album was released in 2003.
