Oldest Quran in the world discovered in dusty British library (vid)
Fragments of what could be the oldest version of the Quran in existence have been found by researchers from the University of Birmingham after they lay unrecognized in a library for a 100 years. Scientists say that the fragments, written on sheep or goat skin are at least 1,370 years old.

UK police arrest six at port on Syria-related offences
British police said on April 4 they had arrested six people at the southern English port of Dover on suspicion of terrorism offences related to the ongoing conflict in Syria.
The five men and one woman, all aged in their 20s, were detained on April 3 morning in the departure zone of the port, West Midlands police said.
UK politician: Son among Syria-bound Britons held in Turkey
A local politician in Britain has stated that his son is one of nine Britons arrested in Turkey for allegedly trying to enter Syria.
Shakil Ahmed, a Labour Party councilor in Rochdale, northwest England, said on April 2 that he had thought his university student son was in Birmingham, England. Ahmed said he was "shocked, worried and extremely upset" to learn that he was in Turkey.

NOVI SAD - A total of 16 drama pieces will be performed at the upcoming 60th Sterijino pozorje, with nine plays in the competitive selection and another three in the international programme Circles, the theatre institution has announced.

Athletics:Spanovic's 6.78m is third-longest jump this season
NOVI SAD - Serbia's best track-and-field athlete Ivana Spanovic won the national indoor long jump gold in Novi Sad on Saturday, with a leap of 6.78 meters, the third-longest jump in the world this season.
Spanovic also competed in the 60 meter dash and recorded a time of 7.35 seconds, just 0.04 seconds slower than her personal best and the Serbian record of 7.31.
