A dog which was abandoned by its owners about a year ago at a bus stop has been since waiting for them to come back.

The dog has been given the name of "Can" ('Life' in Turkish) by locals in the Turkish resort town of Bodrum in Muğla.

A Turkish couple died after they were trapped in their car as flash floods hit the southwestern town of Bodrum late Jan. 25.

British tourists who flew from the United Kingtom to Turkey's popular Aegean holiday resort town of Bodrum on the first direct flight were welcomed at the airport with a water arch, Anadolu Agency reported on June 14. 

Residents in the Aegean town of Bodrum are leaving food and water in the places where wild boars have been spotted in order to prevent them from coming to the city center.
