Romania Parliament Ratifies Ex-Soviet States' EU Pacts
Romania’s second parliamentary chamber, the Camera Deputatilor, ratified Ukraine, Moldova and Georgia’s Association Agreements with the European Union on Wednesday in a 284-to-zero vote.
Moscow appeared to show its unhappiness by imposing a ban on cattle and beef imports from Romania, a move that leaders in Bucharest said was politically motivated.

Bulgarian President to Attend SEECP Summit in Bucharest
President Rosen Plevneliev will take part in the meeting of the heads of state and government of the South East European Co-operation Process (SEECP) countries on June 25.
This is the highest level of political dialogue in the region in this format, according to the President's press office.
The SEECP was launched on Bulgaria's initiative in 1996.

A long-awaited decree reshuffling the Foreign Ministryâs key diplomats has been finalized with appointments to crucial posts like Moscow, Tehran, Rome and Madrid. Romanian President's Brother Arrested for Alleged Graft
A court in Bucharest ruled that Mircea Basescu, the president’s younger brother, should be remanded in custody for 30 days for allegedly taking a 250,000 euro bribe from a relative of convicted underworld boss Sandu Anghel.
Prosecutors allege that he received the money through a middleman in exchange for a promise to intervene to secure Anghel’s release.
