Bus Collision on Ruse-Byala Road: Tourists Injured, Traffic Rerouted
A concerning incident unfolded on the Ruse-Byala road in the Borovo area as a bus, ferrying tourists, collided with a Turkish truck, reported the BNR.
At 12:20 p.m., emergency services received notification of the accident, dispatching police, fire, and rescue teams to the scene located between Volovo village and Borovo town.
Storm Caused Damage, Blocked Roads and Left Settlements without Electricity in Ruse
Hurricane wind, accompanied by torrential rain and hail, caused serious damage this night in Ruse. Roads were blocked, settlements were left without electricity. There is also a problem with rail transport. The hydro-meteorological station reported that in Ruse this night there was 28.6 liters/sq. m rain and wind speeds reached 122 km/h. The storm lasted for about an hour.
Bulgaria Plans Construction of Ruse-Veliko Tarnovo Motorway
Bulgarian Regional Minister Lilyana Pavlova said that the government plans to construct a motorway rather than a high-speed road between Ruse and Veliko Tarnovo.
Pavlova made this statement in a response to a question posed by a member of parliament, daily Sega reports.

Construction At Bulgaria's Karadere To Start In September
The construction of the Black Sea Eco Garden Resort at the Karadere area will start in September 2014, said Minister of Economy and Energy Dragomir Stoinev.
The construction will continue through September 2017, according to Stoinev who presented the project at the Monday meeting of Bulgaria's government.

Around 1500 people gathered Thursday evening in Sofia in a protest against a construction clearance in a protected Black Sea coastal area.
