Türkiye sends letter to EU, UN, NATO on Greek violations
Türkiye sent a letter signed by Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu to 25 capitals of the European Union, EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell, permanent members of the United Nations Security Council as well as NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg and U.N. Secretary-General Antonio Guterres to present its attitude and views on the solution of problems in the Aegean.
Erdoğan warns Greece over Aegean airspace violations
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on Sept. 3 warned Greece that it would pay a "heavy price" if it continued to "harass" Turkish planes over the Aegean and the eastern Mediterranean.
"Hey Greece, take a look at history. If you go further, you will pay a heavy price," Erdoğan told at Teknofest in the Black Sea province of Samsun.
Ankara to send radar traces of S-300 harassment of Turkish jets to NATO
Türkiye's Defense Ministry will send the radar traces and pictures of the Greek harassment of the Turkish jets by the S-300 air defense systems to NATO as well as to all 30 allied countries, according to sources.

Patriarchate lights caldrons to produce Holy Myron oil
In a rare event done only once a decade, the Fener Greek Patriarchate has lit the caldrons to prepare some 350 to 400 kilos of the Holy Myron oil, which will be sent to all the Orthodox churches worldwide to be used in baptism.
The cauldrons were lit for three days after Easter on April 17, with the clergymen mixing some 57 different ingredients.
Rectors balk over funding
In response to the government's plans to introduce a minimum university entrance grade, the Rectors' Synod on Friday said it will get on board as long as the expected drop in admissions does not affect funding.

Pancretan abandons takeover talks with Praxia
The plan for the acquisition of Praxia Bank by the Pancretan Cooperative Bank has failed. The two lenders had been locked in negotiations since mid-December, but on Friday the Crete-based bank announced that "the due diligence has been completed without the two sides coming to an agreement."
