Loved by Guests Awards: Top Greek hotels for 2017
Hotels from across Greece were included in the list of “Loved By Guests Awards” compiled by hotel booking agency Hotels.com for 2017. Crete, Athens, Mykonos and Santorini had a strong presence in the list, with two Athenian hotels were awarded the “Golden Star” award. Travel platform Hotel.com compiles the list based on original reviews of over 25 of its users.

Greek authorities issue international warrant over priest killing
Greek authorities have issued international warrants for the arrest of two suspects believed to be behind the killing of a 47-year-old priest, east of Athens, last month.
The victim was found dead in a pool of blood at his home in Gerakas on February 13.
Both suspects are Pakistani nationals, aged 28 and 33, authorities said.

New research has revealed that more than 480 hotels in Crete, Macedonia, Chania and other places in Greece have been put up for sale in the past month, as Daily Mail reports citing local media.
According to the publication, some of the hotels are being sold for prices as low as €250,000 adding that this price is less than half the cost of a two-bedroom house in Fulham, London.
