Three Greek islands among the World Best Islands for Food
‘Travel & Leisure’ magazine announced the 20 best islands in the world where visitors can taste great dishes and enjoy good quality of food and restaurants, according to its readers votes.
Three Greek islands are in the top 20 best islands, Santorini, Mykonos and Crete. Specifically, Santorini ranked 5th, Mykonos 12th, while Crete ranked 18th.

Providenciales voted best isle in the world by TripAdvisor; Santorini 4th
Providenciales, the most populated island in the Turks and Caicos, Caribbean, has been voted as the best island in the world in TripAdvisor's annual ranking this year.
Maui in Hawaii is second, followed by Roatan in Honduras.
Santorini is listed as a very respectable fourth, worldwide.

Cartoonist Ilias Skoulas, 87, dies
Greek cartoonist Ilias Skoulas died on Thursday at the age of 87.
Born in Crete in 1927, Skoulas began his career as a political cartoonist at the Anexartitos Typos daily. He subsequently worked for a variety of newspapers including Kathimerini, Mesivrini, Acropolis, Apogevmatini, Ethnos and Eleftheros Typos, as well as several magazines.
