‘Travel & Leisure’ magazine announced the 20 best islands in the world where visitors can taste great dishes and enjoy good quality of food and restaurants, according to its readers votes.

Three Greek islands are in the top 20 best islands, Santorini, Mykonos and Crete. Specifically, Santorini ranked 5th, Mykonos 12th, while Crete ranked 18th.

The Paleochora Art Week is a cultural event held in the center of the town of Paleochora on the South West coast of Crete, Greece. This year, the week amped up interest by presenting an underwater exhibition at Art Point Methexis Beach.

Greek cartoonist Ilias Skoulas died on Thursday at the age of 87.

Born in Crete in 1927, Skoulas began his career as a political cartoonist at the Anexartitos Typos daily. He subsequently worked for a variety of newspapers including Kathimerini, Mesivrini, Acropolis, Apogevmatini, Ethnos and Eleftheros Typos, as well as several magazines.
