A memorial service for the victims of the crashed Germanwings plane will be held at Cologne Cathedral on Friday.

The service will gather relatives of the victims and the congregation is expected to number 1500 people, the BBC reports.

A Turkish Airlines  passenger plane en route to Istanbul made a forced landing at Germany's Nuremberg Airport on April 8, after its left cockpit window shattered, the airline said.
   
The Dusseldorf to Istanbul flight diverted to Nuremberg, landing at 0658 GMT, a spokeswoman for the airline said.

Data from the second black box of crashed Germanwings aircraft have confirmed suspicions that the second pilot, Andreas Lubitz, most probably intentionally slammed the plane into a mountainside, AFP reported on Friday.

The second black box of the plane was found on Thursday evening.

The last words of the captain were revealed through the black box recording found after the accident, as reported by German newspaper Bild Sunday.

The video shows the pilot responsible for the Germanwings Airbus murder-suicide laughing as he takes off and lands solo. He is believed to have been in his late teens during the recording obtained by ITV news.

The captain of a passenger jet that investigators believe was deliberately crashed into the French Alps, killing all 150 aboard, shouted at the co-pilot to "open the damn door" as he made desperate attempts to return to the locked cockpit, a German newspaper reported March 29.
