Hoax bomb threat forces plane to land in Crete
A bomb threat that turned out to be a hoax forced a passenger plane flying from Egypt to Germany to make an emergency landing in Crete on Thursday.
The Boeing 757 of Condor Airlines was flying from Egypt's Hurghada airport to Germany's Dusseldorf with 281 passengers onboard, when it diverted its course to land in Crete.

Passenger plane lands in Chania after bomb scare
A passenger plane made an emergency landing at Chania airport in western Crete on Thursday night amid reports that there might be a bomb aboard.
The Condor flight DE69 was flying from Egypt's Hurghada airport to Germany's Dusseldorf, when it diverted its course to land in Crete.

Dozens Injured as Fire Rips through Dried-out German Town
Dusseldorf (dpa) - Dozens of people were injured Tuesday after a blaze in western Germany spread to at least eight homes and knocked out a key railway route, fire and police officials said.
Siegburg city officials initially said they suspected the fire started when sparks were created by a train crossing the tracks and then spread up a slope to the houses.
